The Restaurant BORKATAKOMBA was established in one of the former wine cellars of a large cellar complex and serves as a material remain of the ancient profession of the region, viticulture.

The appearance of Restaurant BORKATAKOMBA was formed by PALACE CATERING in 1994. By this service of our company we wish to fulfil claims of the incentive tourism referring to the specialities of the Hungarian cuisine and viticulture. Our nation-wide viticulture programs can be found in our separated offer. Guests are greeted at the arrival by the master of the house, then after having consumed the apperitif – helped by the wine-grower of the house - they can get to know the exhibition and wine museum showing world-famed Hungarian wines. The restaurant of specific nature consists of four separate premises:

“BARRELS’ ROOM“
Here they can spend the evening inside of large original barrels by candle light.
We suggest this hall first of all for individual guests and for wine tasting.
Capacity : 36 persons in 6 barrels

“THEATRE ROOM”
The central hall of our Restaurant with Hungarian tableware. Folks Ensembles present high standard programs specifically designed for the Borkatakomba along the evenings.
During the evening 5 member gipsy band of Tamás Radics entertains the guests.
Capacity: 120 persons.

“CSÁRDA ROOM”
It calls up memories of old Hungarian inns, with stove, railed off counter, long tables and benches.
Separated location of guests can be solved here. Music: zithern band and solo cymbalo.
Capacity: 40 persons

“HALL OF THE KNIGHTS”
A hall carved in limestone and having medieval atmosphere.
The hall is suitable for holding folklore dinners, feasts, chase meals and receptions.
Capacity: 80-110 persons (depending on table arrangement)
